Motion
Control Systems by Ormec Systems
ORMEC
motion control solutions integrate motion controllers, logic
control, drives, servo motors, HMIs & networking (FireWire
and Ethernet) into solutions for factory automation.

ORMEC’s
ServoWire Motion & Logic Controller (SMLC) is at
the center of a complete machine control solution that can
meet all of your motion, I/O and networking needs. By
combining Pentium processors, FireWire drive networking and
Ethernet connectivity, the SMLC is a system that can control
your entire machine. This allows you to focus on solving
your application instead of integrating control components.
The SMLC, ServoWire Drive Network and Modbus/TCP provide
state-of-the-art I/O and motion control (for up to 16 axes),
all programmed using any of the five IEC 61131-3 standard
languages including relay ladder logic. |

PC Based Motion: Visual Basic, ActiveX or C/C++
ServoWire Soft Motion network servodrives are
designed for OEMs committed to PC-based control, networked servos and
programming using Visual Basic, C/C++ or an ActiveX control to eliminate the
cost & complexity of analog interfaces and motion control boards.
By connecting up to 16 ServoWire SM drives to a
standard PC using a standard IEEE-1394 network, OEMs bypass motion control
boards, achieve "soft motion" performance and avoid expensive
breakout boxes and complicated analog interfaces. Networked servos
provide all-digital setup, operation, fully automatic drive commissioning and
the ability to mix and match servo technologies.

ORION
PC-based motion controllers & ServoWire drives provide
an integrated set of motion products for networked
automation -- servos, HMIs, I/O control and solutions
for factory networking using Ethernet and Firewire.
Products include motion
controllers, ServoWire drives, motors, and MotionBASIC
programming language & tools. Software extensions
provide connectivity to PLCs, HMIs and factory computers using
A-B Ethernet, Modbus TCP, Profibus DP.

New UltraDrive G
Series digital drives from ORMEC utilize digital signal
processors (DSPs) to deliver high performance servo control with
digital technology and benefits.
UltraDrive G
Series models range from 290 to 15,000 watts offer continuous
current output from 2.4 to 60 amps RMS/phase. The drives
operate on 115 or 230 VAC input power, and provide both output
short circuit and overvoltage protection.
The G Series has
been designed for use with ORMEC G Series AC brushless
servomotors or any servomotors--including linear brushless
servomotors--incorporating either Hall sensors (trapezoidal
commutation) or Hall sensors plus encoders (sinusoidal
commutation).
